Microwaved asparagus makes a quick, easy and healthy side to any meal. Submitted By: Marie’s & Art’s Produce


  • 1 lb Green or Purple Asparagus
  • 6-8 Pats of Butter
  • Any Seasoning (Salt, Pepper, Garlic, etc.)
  • Any Grated Cheese of Shredded Cheese


  1. Wash and trim asparagus. Lay in 8x8 glass baking dish
  2. Lay pats of butter over asparagus, sprinkle with seasoning, and then cheese
  3. Place “press and seal” plastic wrap on top of dish.
  4. Microwave for about 10 to 15 minutes (may be crisp, cook longer for desired softness)
