Sun Dills

Sun Dill Pickles Submitted By: Lemler's Sweet Corn & Pumpkins

Ingredients

  • 6 1/2 c. water
  • 3 1/4 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. salt (pickling)
  • 1/4 tsp. alum
  • 5-6 cloves garlic
  • 6-7 sprigs dill heads
  • 12-14 peppercorns
  • 1 TBSP pickling spice


Directions

  1. Preparation: 6 sprigs dill, peppercorn, spice & 4 cloves garlic in bottom of gallon jar. Add pickles, rest of dill and garlic on top Mix brine and pour over pickles. Put lid on and set outside for 4 days. Refrigerate & enjoy.
