Blueberry Pie

There's nothing better than a fresh blueberry pie on a hot summer day. Submitted By: Jean Skibbe

Ingredients

  • 1 quart of Fresh Blueberries
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • Pastry for 2 Crusts for 9 inch Pies
  • Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 cup Sugar


Directions

  1. Set oven for 425°.
  2. Wash and pick over blueberries.
  3. Line 9 inch pie pan using half of pastry.
  4. Roll out remaining pastry for top crust.
  5. Combine vinegar, sugar, and flour.
  6. Add to blueberries and mix lightly.
  7. Pour into pie pan, sprinkle with nutmeg, and dot with butter
  8. Moisten pastry edge with water, cover with top crust, and prick top crust.
  9. Bake 10 minutes.
  10. Reduce heat to 375°.
  11. Bake 25 minutes, or until brown.
